V was originally a television mini-series which aired in the early 1980's and told the story of a supposedly peaceful visit by aliens who looked much like humans. It was soon revealed, however, that not only were the aliens lizard-like creatures, but they were mostly interested in earthlings as a potential food source. The first mini-series was followed by another mini-series which continued the fight between the Visitors (led by the vicious Diana) and the Resistance (led by Julie Parrish and Mike Donovan) and introduced the "Starchild," Elizabeth, a product of the mating between a human woman and a Visitor. The second mini-series was the pilot for the regular television series which aired in late 1984 and early 1985 and lasted only one season.
Duncan Regehr guest starred in four episodes of the regular series as Charles, a special envoy from the Leader of the Visitors. In the first of these episodes, the Visitors capture two members of the resistance, and Charles tries to brainwash one into killing Mike Donovan. In the second episode, a group of Resistance members are imprisoned, and Charles plans to kill them, one by one, until Mike Donovan surrenders. In the third episode, a medical facility which is actually a front for alien weapon storage is discovered by the Resistance, and in the last episode which starred Mr. Regehr, Charles plots to marry Diana.

Vancouver March of 2009.
