My Wicked, Wicked Ways is a mini-series which aired in 1985 on network television. It is based on the book "My Wicked, Wicked Ways," an autobiography of the actor Errol Flynn. Flynn was as famous for his flamboyant lifestyle as he was his swashbuckling roles in movies. The series tells the story of Flynn's life in Hollywood beginning with his arrival It chronicles the bar brawls, boating excursions, bouts with malaria, his marriage to, and eventual divorce from, the tempestuous French actress, Lily Damita, a multitude of affairs, and his dealings with Jack Warner, head of Warner Brothers Studios. Errol Flynn produced a tremendous amount of work, many considered to be classics.
While the story does show the glamour of that time, what is more poignant is that it shows Flynn to be a man who just wanted everyone to have fun. He never understood why anyone objected to that, and never understood why Hollywood turned their back on him after his highly publicized rape trial.
Duncan Regehr portrays Errol Flynn.
