The Haunting of Lisa
The Haunting of Lisa
(working title, The Lady) is a made-for-television movie which aired on
the Lifetime channel in 1996. It tells the story of a young girl who has a
vision of an "angel" after the dead body of another youngster is discovered in a
park. The girl's mother is engaged to the chief of police and eventually reveals
that she also has visions, but that she has consciously suppressed them. The
little girl continues to have visions, and they become more and more intense,
showing her scenes of a young boy in the past who eventually kills his little
sister and attacks his mother, leaving her in a coma. The little girl is
convinced that this boy is the killer of the child in the park, and because the
media has televised her telling her mother about the angel, he is now after her.
The mother must finally allow herself to experience her own precognitive visions
to help save her child and discover who is the true murderer.
Duncan Regehr plays Police Chief Mitch Graham. While he is investigating the murder, he becomes a suspect himself.
(This movie is available on DVD, both in a single issue and in a set of ten DVD's with other Lifetime channel movies.)
