Cybill is a 30-minute network television situation comedy which follows an actress, played by Cybill Shepard, as she moves through life, helped (and sometimes hindered) by her teen-age daughter and her best friend. An acting instructor stirs Cybill's lust. Things seem to be progressing well between them when Cybill encourages him to revive his "One Man Show." Full of enthusiasm, he leaves her standing to go prepare. Unfortunately, the show proves the adage "Those who can act, act. Those who cannot, teach." Cybill finds after watching his rendition of "Shakespeare with Fruit" the fire is gone from the relationship.

Note: Duncan's performance of "Shakespeare with Fruit" was much lengthier than what was actually shown in this episode. While filming, some of the crew had to leave the set because they were laughing so hard it was disrupting the filming.
